By eliminating the factory catalytic restriction, this design significantly reduces backpressure, allowing the turbos to spool faster, sustain boost more efficiently, and deliver a sharper, more immediate throttle response. The result is a more aggressive exhaust note, enhanced turbo sound, and a substantial improvement in overall engine breathing—especially when paired with upgraded exhaust systems and other performance modifications. ECU tuning is strongly recommended to optimize air-fuel ratios, prevent fault codes, and fully realize the performance gains unlocked by a catless configuration.
